Description

Process control and monitoring systems often use a large number of standard process signals, voltage levels, current loops, temperature and pulsed signals to name but a few. When designing a system from scratch it may be possible to exactly match each type of sensor to a controller, but even then, it is not always cost effective to do so.

Usually, these variables need to be converted into standard process signals or isolated from one another.

Brodersen PX process converters are able to convert signals to various standards. Even analogue signals can be connected to digital inputs. PX components are high-quality products which have been designed in accordance with latest EMC immunity/emission requirements, and tested according to the (CE) Low Voltage Directive.

PX components are galvanically isolated up to 3.75kV. The 22.5mm wide, standardized industrial housing offers a modern design and can be snapped onto 25mm DIN rails. The PX converters offer protection against contact using combi-slotted-screw terminal blocks. The adjusters have a protective cover.

PXL-10 PXL-10 Threshold relay for process signals with relay output

A threshold relay for the monitoring or control of common types of process signals. The process signal to be monitored is selected on the front panel and the threshold value is also adjusted via a setpoint potentiometer on the front of the relay.

Signal converter for the conversion of an analogue process signal to a pulsating (50% duty cycle) transistor output.


PXF-20 PXF-20 Process signal converter, frequency to analogue signal

Frequency converter for converting frequency to an analogue process signal. The frequency converter has NPN/PNP/NAMUR input in 5 ranges from 0-5kHz.
